Merlyn Glass is an experienced healthcare professional with a comprehensive background in general nursing, midwifery, paediatric nursing and genetic counselling. Merlyn holds a Master’s degree in nursing(education)and began as a genetic nurse counsellor in 1987. Merlyn has made significant contributions through her work at the National Health Laboratory Service and the University of the Witwatersrand, counselling patients across several major hospitals. Her primary interest was in prenatal genetic counselling.  Currently, she focuses on Perinatal and Paediatric Palliative Care at Rahima Moosa Hospital, where she leads staff debriefing and supports parents of stillborn infants through workshops as well as individual counselling.
