Our goal is to ensure a healthy and happy pregnancy experience for both you and your baby.

Booking Your Appointment

Booking Your Appointment

  • Visit our website to schedule your appointment for either a confirmation of pregnancy or a first trimester screen (between 11 - 13 weeks) or a second trimester scan (18 - 22 weeks).
  • If you visited us for a confirmation of pregnancy, we’ll automatically schedule these appointments for you based on your gestational stage.

  • Our friendly reception team will reach out to confirm your appointment.
  • You’ll receive a courtesy call the day before your appointment to remind you.
First Trimester Screen

First Trimester Screen

  • If you’re coming in for a first trimester screen, start at Lancet in Building A to have your blood drawn.
  • Collect a pre-filled blood form from reception or go directly to Lancet where your forms will be waiting.
  • Proceed to the Fetal Center in Building B for your consultation with the doctor.
Blood Work Processing

Processing at Lancet Laboratories

  • Lancet (located in Building A) will process your blood work while you make your way to our consultation rooms in Building B.
Consultation and Scan

Consultation and Scan

  • Your doctor will conduct your consultation and scan.
  • Your blood test results will be ready and delivered to your doctor promptly to avoid any wait times.
Follow-Up Appointments

Follow-Up Appointments

  • For follow-up appointments or second trimester scans, head straight to the Fetal Centre in Building B.
  • Your doctor will see you for your consultation.
  • If needed, we’ll provide a referral to an Obstetrician for delivery and further pregnancy management.

Ultrasound Scans

Viability
Scan

6-10 weeks

The viability scan is a pregnancy scan that is usually carried out at 6-10 weeks of pregnancy. This is the first scan performed during the pregnancy and is sometimes also called the dating scan.

Nuchal
Scan

11-13 weeks

This ultrasound scan is carried out from 11 weeks + 3 days to 13 weeks + 6 days. The scan is usually performed transabdominally but in a few cases it may be necessary to do the examination transvaginally.

Anomaly
Scan

20 weeks

An anomaly scan takes a close look at your baby and your womb (uterus) at about 20 weeks of pregnancy.

Cardiac
Scan

on-going

During the nuchal scan (11-13 weeks), the anomaly scan (20-24 weeks) and wellbeing scan (30-34 weeks) we routinely examine the fetal heart and connecting blood vessels.

Cervical
Scan

14 - 37 weeks

This is a transvaginal scan to measure the length of the cervix. (14-37 weeks.)

Multiple pregnancy


Multiple pregnancy, in the context of fetal medicine, refers to a pregnancy where more than one fetus is developing in the womb.
